Short version: We only collect what we need to run the service. We don't sell your data to anyone. Content you submit is used only to generate your slides.

Slayde uses a small number of external services to operate:

Your content is sent to the Gemini API in three independent calls: first to structure your content into a slide outline, second to extract text from any images (OCR), and third to generate the visual for each slide. These calls are separate and not linked outside of Slayde's system. The API has its own privacy policy — we recommend reading it if you plan to submit sensitive information.
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie is cleared when you log out. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising.
Your browser stores small preferences (such as the last style you selected) in localStorage — this is never sent to our servers.

We use HTTPS for all communication between your browser and our servers. The database is hosted on a server with restricted access. Deck files are stored temporarily on the same server and deleted automatically.
While we take reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. Please do not submit highly sensitive or confidential information through Slayde's text input.
Slayde is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we hold data from a child, please contact us immediately.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you via email (if you are signed in) or a banner on the site at least 7 days before the change takes effect.
